Ray Graydon signed former Walsall players Andy Rammell and Clive Platt. Rammell has signed a new contract with Rovers after his short-term deal had expired. Platt was released by Rochdale and has signed on a Bosman. Graydon was a big fan of "Rambo" during his time at Bescot and was quick to snap him up from Wycombe last season on a free transfer.
Graydon sold Platt for £100,000 when at Bescot after Platt had a successful loan spell at Rochdale. Platt failed to turn his promise into quality and Rochdale ditched the striker at the end of last season.

Graydon will benefit from having the two men up front in a division where physical and aerial battles are the key to winning games.
