2 goals within a matter of three minutes sealed a 2-1 victory for Milwall over a poor Walsall side who put in an effortless performance.

The form from the Stoke City reared it's ugly head again as the Saddlers rolled over for a Milwall side who were no great shakes themselves.

| From the very first whistle an excellent
Milwall side
dominated the match. They showed their attacking intentions from
the off with Jimmy Walker being largely responsible for keeping
the scores level at half time. As early as the fifth minute
Milwall broke with pace down the flanks and Ifill delivered a
superb cross towards the penalty spot.
Unfortunately, a statue-esque Barras stood and watched as Harris evaded him and advanced towards Walker who pulled of a point blank save. For the majority of the first half, Ifill and Harris terrorised the Saddlers back four. On the half hour mark Harris attacked down the left flank and curled an absolute beauty towards the top corner only for Walker to acrobatically tip around the post. Milwall continued to attack and a subsequent corner created havoc in the Saddlers box. The ball fell to a Lions players six yards out who luckily blasted it straight at Wracks behind and out for a corner. Walsall huffed and puffed but were sadly guilty of conceding possession too easily and very rarely got out of their own half. The second half continued much as the first with Milwall the dominant force. In order to change things around Colin Lee replaced Shuker with Junior. Immediately Millwall went to the other end and scored twice in the space of 3 minutes courtesy of the excellent Harris and Ifill. On both occasions Milwall were able to walk from their own half to the edge of the Saddlers box without a decent challenge being put in. Walsall’s response? Walker produced a number of trademark saves. Bazeley - Poor distribution, poor marking, awful going forward. Wrack -did well out of position. Roper was really disappointing, he has never been a gifted player with the ball at his feet and today he really was atrocious. Barras was commanding at the back, a solid performance. Samways and O'Connor saw the game pass them by at times. Robinson hardly put a foot RIGHT all game. Leitao and Shuker worked hard, while Pedro perked up in the last half an hour. Junior changed the game, and should have been on at half time. Corica was anonymous.

| Dave Hawkes: Reaction - We can never cope with pace. Give us some high balls to defend or a big front man and Ropes and Barras will generally be OK (see Bradford and Rotherham) but today, Sadlier and Harris have the pace to leave us standing. | |

Reaction -i would let Shuker go back to main road as the
two performances that i have seen him in he has done a lot of running
around but nothing else and he doesn't look as if he is going to do
anything!
