Mad Stad Mission : Part 2

January 17 2003

They say the sequel is never as good as the first one (it wasn't), while the 3rd one is usually one to make money (It did)...this is the fourth meeting between these two sides since the start of the season and Walsall have still to beat Reading in normal time. New Page 1 Walsall Vs Notts Forest

Directions (Road): From the North join the M4 or take the A34 from Oxford. From all directions turn off the M4 at junction 11, and head along the A33 towards Reading. If you're coming from the South then take the A33 which runs North into Reading. In the summer of 1999 the new A33 relief was, at last, completed - which means in a matter of minutes (well less than the hour it took last season) you'll find yourself driving straight towards the stadium. The A33 runs right past the ground so you can't go wrong. If you're coming from the M4 direction just keep in the left hand lane and when you hit the ground take the first left up the hill if you're parking at the ground. Click on the map on the right for a bigger map. For available car parking information see below - the official car park at the stadium is always sold out in advance now. BEWARE WHERE YOU PARK, SADDLERS FANS WERE HIT WITH £40 PARKING FINES ON TUESDAY NIGHT. (www.royals.org)

Walsall News: The 3-4-3 formation should continue, but Sonner, O'Connor and Roper all picked up knocks. Emblem Simpson and Corica on standby by to replace them.

News: , Murty, Williams,  are all giving Pardew selection problems, as they have been carrying knocks in recent weeks. With a number of quality strikers Pardrew seems to be rotating them. Will he continue with Forster and Butler...who knows

Walsall

one2watch: Jorge Leitao made a big difference to the Saddlers forward line on Tuesday. He chased those lost causes and put the Royals under pressure. His link up play with Junior, Corica and Wrack in the second half was marvelous !

Reading

one2watch: Martin Butler...got his first goal since august last Saturday...then missed a penalty against the Saddlers on Tuesday.  A target for Stoke a few days back, he is struggling in Division 1. He has a point to prove on Saturday though.

14/1/03 - FA Cup Third Round (replay)

The Verdict: The Cup cash was nice...3 points would be even nicer. We settled well at the Madejski on Tuesday, the playing surface suited us, but the 3-4-3 was still not convincing most Saddlers fans. With the Bescot pitch still a mess we need to take advantage of the lovely surface at Reading and get 3 points.

PREDICTION: Reading 1-1 Walsall
