Walsall Vs Shrewsbury Town

Walsall Team News: Fitzroy Simpson (Out), Danny Sonner may be left out of the 11 if Lee refers back to the 4-4-2. Junior may get his full debut if Corica moves to midfield. No injuries picked up on Saturday.

Shrewsbury Town Team News:  Shrewsbury Boss forced to put out a youthful side to compensate for injury crisis.

Show of to your mates:  With the question, which two current  Walsall players are the only survivors from the last time these two sides met.... The answer is Ian Roper who was on the bench for Walsall, and Darren Wrack who came on as a sub for the Salop while on loan.

Last Meeting:  8.3.97 (Div 2) Walsall 2-2 Shrewsbury Town

Walsall Form :  DWWLL

Shrewsbury Town Form:  WDLLW

Walsall League Position: 18th (Div 1)

Shrewsbury League Position: 10th (Div 3)

Walsall Man to Watch: Junior, in line for his first start after a hat trick last week.

Shrewsbury Town Man to Watch: Luke Rogers, 20yr old hot shot striker.

The Verdict:  Old rivals will be reacquainted this Tuesday. Town will be up for the game, and see Walsall as a scalp to claimed. The majority of Walsall players will not remember the early and mid-nineties where Town were our "local rivals" and we had some good old ding dongs.  Both sides have had slow starts to the season. The question is if this game will turn in to the cup tie scrap, and how  Wrack, Aranalde, Sonner, Jorge et al, will  perform....I think we know the answer.

PREDICTION: Walsall 2-3 Shrewsbury Town
