The next block of five games will be a challenge for Cov.  Beginning tomorrow at Ampthill, followed by home to Hartpury, a trip to Penzance and a difficult fixture against a stuttering Cornish Pirates, a blockbuster, possibly epic clash against title favourites, Ealing, then the last remaining fixture of 2024, an away trip to an inconsistent, Nottingham.

Tomorrow's trip to Dillingham Park, not the happiest hunting ground for Cov in previous years, the bolstered Mob, unkindly referred to by some as Sarries seconds, could well be the barometer of Cov's season.  Win well, or at least win, could be the catalyst to maintaining the current unbeaten Championship record.  
It will be very tough. 
The whole experience, that walk through the woody dell, the steep sided amphitheater arena, the sandy standing areas could well be a psychological barrier for everyone to overcome.  The players should be confident in getting a result, not too many players have experienced this fixture before.   Will it be a hindrance or just an urban myth that opposing players are beaten before the start?

Time will tell.   Either way, if I get home to Coventry, with a win tucked away, I, for one, will be a very relieved Coventry supporter. 

Back to the Bread and Butter, The Championship resumes.

Not unkind to refer to them as Sarries seconds when clearly they are. Premiership teams using the championship for gametime because like others they have 80 plus playing staff.
However, for clubs like Cov the challenge is to set the bar higher than these cuckoo clubs, by our players gaining valuable experience against such players.

The reference to Sarries is not unkind. Ampthill should just bite the bullet and play their home games at the Stonex.
They would probably get bigger gates and everyone would have some facilities to enjoy.
This is my one 100% no-go fixture of the season, and I am disappointed that the new Tier2 regs are so low that Ampthill appear to pass the test.

I'm with you Richard I too won't go to Amptill I hate the fact they have awful facilities and use as many loan players while I'm on my soapbox don't think clubs should be allowed in the Championship with no proper stadiums after all it's 2024 not 1970 !!!!! I would only go to Amptill if it was a game for Promotion or Relegation. And I hate the fact I'm not their today supporting my team but I'm a stubborn old timer and I still to my principles. And yes I went to Caldy and will be at Chinnor who I believe also don't have a proper ground but if I boycotted them all i would only be a home supporter and while I'm still able I will go to away matches but not all of them. Go well today Cov with you in spirit if not bodily. Cheers Colin.

This was my first missed game of the season, and feel really bad about it, but I don't feel I can put money into a club who have done nothing since their promotion to the league to improve the spectator experience or develop a playing squad.
I can give Caldy some slack, at least you can see the pitch from the bar, and I have family on the Wirral so it's always a go. I'm looking forward to a trip to Chinnor, who unlike Ampthill are new to the league and can be allowed a short period to get up to scratch.
Hopefully today and the trip to Pirates will be my only missed games this season, it's going to be a great ride as we push for the title.

Agree. 10 loans one week, 0 next then 5 today, paying Saracens £250.000 for this privilege.... What a joke and frauds to the league they are.

Where has this £250k come from? That is a hefty value that could surely be used to pay their own players instead, or upgrade facilities?

£250k isn't that much money when you work out how much they would have to fork out to have their own players of the number and quality Sarries provide!! That's why it stinks.
