Despite the efforts and commitments shown, Cov slipped to a 22-12 loss at The Mennaye. Two late forwards powered tries, impressive mauling securing the hosts win. Four penalties from fly-half Bruce Houston kept the hosts always in the game. 

Tries for Cov from James Martin and Toby Trinder, the former converted by Pat Pelligrini, were rewards from Cov's endeavour throughout.  I think, in the end, injuries did play a part but, as Alex Rae said post-match,  " we had three good second-half chances.." And Alex was right.  My immediate thoughts after the game was, this loss will not define our season.  I think, or at least hope we can all agree, that it has been another successful season.  For me, I would not like it to be a case of ' what if?' What if we had not lost at Ampthill or Caldy? I don't think that would be helpful. It is, for me , more like my old school report very often stated, ' could do better!'

I, if the rumours and speculation are true, suspect we will see another Coventry side next season, some familiar faces, but also some returning familiar faces.  I will wait and see.  The End of Season Party on Friday, is, I think, when more information will be forthcoming.  I will hope to have some more concrete information then. 
If you are going to the Coventry v England U20's game on the 25th, I hope to see you there.  Please don't forget you can use your Season Membership card for this game.  Hope to see you there.

Also, for everyone supporting this Message Board, thanks for your continuing support.  Whether you are regular BPA visitors or not, near or far, no matter.  We all have that common bond, Coventry Rugby.  The Greatest Rugby Club in the 1970's, bar none, but still very relevant in the 2000's.   Some clubs would love what we have.  Pride, History and Community.  Long may that continue.
