A list of player movements: in, out, or retentions.   Based on the player list on the official site. Added to with my own records, and the far more complete ones by John Butler. I propose to update this chart as further announcements are made by the club. Please let me know by commenting if you spot any errors. More general discussions about comings and goings are better posted in the existing thread.   

2021-22 was a season of chaos. A massive injury toll added to by the ravages of Covid-19, A similar approach was taken by the club to that successfully employed in the half-season of 2020-21, but it didn't work well. Something went wrong with the relationship with Sale Sharks, and the batch of players announced barely played, and then were not seen again. Players were brought in from all over the country, many only featuring for a single match.

As there were so many visiting players at Coventry during the season, and as in many cases it was not clear whether they were dual registered or loan players, I shall not attempt to distinguish between the arrangements under with they played for Coventry in most cases. Instead I shall refer to Loan/DR as an interchangeable term covering both contractual arrangements. 

It wasn't all bad news though. A number of young players stepped up from the academy, and performed well above their expected level. A successfull Championship Cup run took us to a cup final at Ealing Trailfinders, where a close match was only narrowly lost at the whim of the whistle.

Although not all contracted players from last season have been announced as 'leaving' or 'retained' the club has started updating the team list, and has included, as well as new signings, a number of these players. I have now updated them to have a status of 'listed as retained' on this table, and will update them further as newscomes in.

I've made two changes reflecting information received, or unlikely to be received from the club.

First of all I've pulled out all the loan or dual registered players from last season, of which there were many, into their own blocks below eaxh position, and set them in italics. I do not expect to hear more fro9m the club about them.

Nick has identified 30. Outside of club management, I doubt anyone knows the exact numbers.
