Head coach Scott Morgan was unable to mask his disappointment after watching Coventry slip to their first defeat of the season, going down 23-21 to Hartpury College at the Butts Park Arena.
Cov went into the game on top of National League One after two high-scoring wins, but were outplayed on the day in a lacklustre performance.
“We’ve let ourselves down today, we’ve let down our supporters, and it’s just not acceptable to perform like that,” said Morgan.
“They dominated us up front and in every aspect of the game I thought they were smarter. We had no answer really to what they were doing, which is very, very disappointing.
“We had chances at the end, but it would have been an absolute robbery if we’d won it. We were second-best in every single area and at times we looked absolutely clueless within our structure.
