Coventry and Warwickshire rugby union is mourning the sudden loss of former England captain and prop forward Phil Judd at the age of 81.
Juddy, as he was to many who knew him, captained Coventry, Warwickshire, Midland Counties and England during an illustrious first class career which spanned 16 seasons.
Born in Coventry, Phil joined the Coventry club after first playing for Broad Street Old Boys. He made his Cov debut in the 1952-53 season and went on to make 442 appearances before retiring after the 1967-68 campaign.
