Coventry Rugby are pleased to confirm three of their existing squad ,back row forwards Danny Wright, Loti Molitika and George Oliver have all signed on again for the coming season.
Danny Wright, aged 25, starts his fourth season at Coventry Rugby very much hoping that this new season will see him put behind him last season’s injury requiring surgery, which restricted him to 5 appearances including 1 start towards the end of the season, scoring 1 try. Starting off as lock Danny has also been playing in the back-row mainly at No 6.
Loti Molitika, aged 31, joined Coventry Rugby from NL2 South club Chinnor before the transfer deadline in February. Since then Loti has made 5 appearances including 4 starts scoring 2 tries and was made MOM in a couple of those appearances. Tongan born Loti playing usually at No 7 but also able to play at No 8 , is a hard working strong tackling player capable of obtaining turnovers, and gives Coventry Rugby further options in the back-row. There is an intriguing possibility that Loti will play against his older brother, Maama who now plays for newly promoted Ampthill and District.
George Oliver, aged 23 plays mainly at No 7, joined Coventry Rugby last season from Leicester Academy. An all action player George has suffered from a couple of injuries during the season restricting him to 13 appearances including 12 starts scoring 2 tries, another player capable of achieving turnovers, so important in the modern game.
However it is goodbye to Will Hurrell as he moves on to another club.
Will Hurrell, winger and centre moves on to full-time rugby with Championship side Doncaster Knights. Last season a scorer of 11 tries from his 29 games, Will has made no secret of his desire to have a full-time career in rugby, something Coventry Rugby can’t yet offer.
Coventry Rugby club wishes Will success at his new club and thanks him for his efforts over the past seasons.
