The Coventry Rugby side to play Macclesfield at home at the Butts Park Arena with kick off at 3 pm this coming Saturday 7th February 2015 has just been named. 

It shows no changes amongst the backs with just 2 changes and 1 positional one in the pack, from the starting line-up that had achieved  a hard fought draw away at Richmond to remain unbeaten for 17 games.  Sam Pailor reverts to his more usual position at No 6 in place of Luke Joseph, with Jacques le Roux starting in his place at No 8. George Oliver returns at No 7 in place of Will Owen. There is one further change on the replacements with Adam Parkins back as cover both for front row and at lock.

More to the point, the team. Probably the closest we've seen (starting XV anyway) to the Coventry team we expected to see at the start of the season before injuries hit?

Good team selected but not sure about the replacements,why have two fullbacks as against a fullback and a centre.

They're planning to use Adam Parkins in the centre (as he's obviously not a front row rep)(it says here).

We do appear to be shoe-horning the new signing in AND remaining loyal to BD at the expense of balance on the replacement's bench. There's little confidence shown in our back up options at scrum half which will need addressing whichever division we're in next year. Still, 1st XV and front row options look really good. Would love to see 80 minutes of quality today to get back in the groove for the run in. C'mon Cov!

It would be very interesting to see who would come on at FB if Cliffie were to pick up a knock early on - obviously hope that doesn't happen.

Right what Maxee says about confidence in the backs replacenemts,concidering we have players in the squad who got us to 3rd place last season it seems very strange.
