Winger Dom Lespierre has set his sights on Coventry’s game at Darlington Mowden Park on March 7 for his return to action after breaking his jaw in the win over Blaydon 11 days ago.
“I had an operation to put in two plates on the Monday afterwards and was in hospital for three days – it drove me mad, but the lads were great – I got lots of messages to keep me going,” said Cov’s leading try scorer this term, who suffered the injury in the first half but played on after treatment until finally admitting defeat at the start of the final quarter.
“I’ll be back doing some running and light training next week, but it will be six weeks before I can do any contact.
“That takes it up to the end of February and we have a blank week after that, so I’m aiming at the Darlington game which will be eight weeks after the injury.
