CRFC coach Scott Morgan praises scrum with win over Blaydon.

Head coach Scott Morgan highlighted the performance of Coventry’s scrum as key to the win over Blaydon which consolidated their second place in National League One.

“Blaydon gave Ealing a really hard time in the scrum last week and they gave us trouble earlier in the season and last year,” said Morgan, who watched from the sidelines after being ruled out of the game by a calf injury.

“But we were outstanding there today and I thought Chad Thorne was great; you just want your tight head to scrummage and he certainly did that – taking one against the head against Blaydon is what you dream of.
