Coach Scott Morgan focused on promotion not records

Head coach Scott Morgan insists that Coventry’s sole focus remains on mounting a promotion challenge in National League One and not on breaking any records.

Saturday’s 29-17 win over Darlington Mowden Park was Cov’s seventh on the trot – their best run since their first season at the Butts Park Arena in 2004-05.

Cov went unbeaten for eight games in that campaign, winning six before a draw against Plymouth Albion which was followed by victory over Rotherham.

But although a win at Tynedale this Saturday will see them match the eight in a row achieved in the 2000-01 season, Morgan insists that Cov are only thinking in terms of their league position approaching the halfway point.
