It looks a well balanced, strong team to me. A bench that has players that can come on and make an impact. With the likes off Pailor, Otatuha, LeRoux, and Morgan waiting in the wings, things are looking bright. Think we need to come out firing with all guns blazing tomorrow though, as after the break and facing a tough workmanlike team, it ain't gonna be easy......let's be positive,up and at em lads, good luck

pailor and leroux injured,can not work out otutaha he has played full 80 min in every game except when injured now not even in squad for last two team selections.scott stated the first 40 min at cinderford was the best of the season,otutaha was replaced on 60 min must have had a really bad 20 min.all the best for Henley hope all the Christmas cheer has been trained off.

Jinxed Callum McBurnie, one of the stand out players from last year is in the match day 20 .

Gareth turner, still to make his debut for Cov, has had to make way for the captain. I reckon the management know what their doing.

A few weeks ago we didn't have enough locks for a game and Brett Daynes had to step up to the plate. So is 40+ players enough? Maybe not.

it was mentioned way back when the squad was put together there was a shortage of locks within the squad, so possibility of being caught out was there long time ago

No Cov City today, so expecting will be giving pretty wide coverage for any no able to travel to Henley on BBC C&W

I'm sure 'w lippert' was here back then, probably posting under another unpleasant pseudonym. It was odd that 'w lippert" appeared on here about the time that 'R Hess' swore never to post again (and incidentally broke that promise too), with very similar views too. Odder too that a quick search via Google for 'w lippert' revealed it to be the name of a German fighter pilot.

I expect that now you've reminded 'w lippert' of his promise he'll vanish again, and shortly the equally tasteless 'H Goering' will appear to put across a similar point of view.

Just be honest.

Whilst understanding that everyone has an opinion, and quite rightly are allowed to express them, I do struggle sometimes to understand their thoughts. As I've previously posted I have every confidence in the way the club are progressing and have really enjoyed the entertainment served up to us this season. Yes, I do agree it is strange not to see JO in the match day squad, were not privy to all the news behind the scenes. The bench can only accommodate five, and it looks quality to me. GT is unlucky not to be involved but having only one place on the sidelines for a back row it makes pretty good sense to involve the returning Munro who is a tough tackling pacy player rather than an untried No 8. See you all at Henley later.......

Absolutely. I disagree with whoever w lip pert is with regard to squad size, but that is not a problem. I disagree with other people, enjoy the debate and remain friends.

My problem is with the 'I only exist to be negative' approach, added to the use of multiple pseudonyms, particularly of an unpleasant nature.

1) I want Coventry to succeed above all else.

2) Whether I am called Hitler, Hess or Lippert is irrelevant. Lippert was Hess's driver, not a pilot.

I only posted last night because I was wound up on the back of a cheap bottle of red wine. Sorry.

3) Unfortunately, until the issues that I try and debate are addressed, Coventry RFC will go no where. I can see no point in debating the weather in Henley. It will be the same for both teams.

4) Coventry RfC are in the fortunate position of having more £sd than other clubs in the same league. Fact.

5) However, that should not be seen as an excuse to merely try and buy success. You cannot build on sand, but, nonetheless many have tried.

6) I have no doubt whatsoever that everyone is trying their best to succeed. By nature, I am a 'half full' person, not a half empty.

7) However, rugby is about people and building a long term vision. Currently, I can see no link between the current position (trying to buy in short term success) and building a sustainable long term position, comensurate with the Coventry heritage.

8) Without trying to pick out individuals, Lewis B, illustrates the point. Good player, (England Counties 2013) driven out by needless lack of game time.

So, I have been intrigued by the nonsense posted subsequent to last night. I remain a supporter of the current management 100%, but do not understand why we, the humble supporter cannot challenge the Tyas incident, the inconsistencies of selection, the nonsense of the mismatch versus the Saints and the seemingly lack of faith in a squad system that now must have seen 50-60 players pass through since last September.

Anyway, unless another cheap bottle is consumed too quickly, I will desist. Believe me, I mean no harm.
