...by narrow Rosslyn defeat

Head coach Scott Morgan insists Coventry are on the right track despite missing the chance to go second in National League One with Saturday’s 19-18 home defeatby Rosslyn Park.

“We missed some opportunities and there were too many inaccuracies in our game,” said Morgan, who scored his first try for the club as Cov led 13-10 at half-time. “Obviously we are disappointed with the result.

“But we are in the mix and where we want to be – they are not handing out trophies at the moment and nothing is decided. We wanted to be there or thereabouts going into the New Year, and we are on course for that.

“Games like these are decided on small margins, and this league is very competitive, but top of the table rugby is what it is all about and these are the games that we want to play in.

"We will take positives from it. We will just focus on ourselves and what we need to do to improve.”
