Strong team and bench again....queitly confident.

Can anyone else play scrum half if Louis gets injured?

Luke Myring played for Leicester a number of times as a scrum half.

What is the situation regarding Lewis Barker? Is he injured or out of favour?

The way Lewis was running from touch to touch, repeatedly, after the game on Saturday, he certainly didn't look injured - but he could be by now of course.

Great to see Luke Myring back as a starter after a couple of injury ridden years. Two years ago he looked like the man we could build a team around until that horrible late tackle.Good luck Luke. Drive us forward.

I didn't say he was either Tom. I said he didn't look it. We posted at the same time so I hadn't seen your bit about being a 'travelling reserve' when I posted.

I don't normally put down who the travelling reserves are only this time to answer the query.

Looks a good team to me. I was surprised to see Lewis wasn't in the squad, but on reflection, when you realise Luke has played as scrum half, also tied with the fact he is a good goal kicker, then I now applaud the selection. So lets see who is the best choice to start out of Lewis and Louis
COME ON COV!!!!!!!

Yes Nige - it was mentioned on CWR after Saturday's game. Good to see that there are people at the club ready to put their hands in their pockets to help the team out.

A lot of fans have put a lot of money in, but for most people the sort of sums needed to put up about 30 people for a night are way out of our bracket. That's why we should be thankful when people do, and those thanks should be public.

Given the horrible journey they had last might, a quiet night and a civilised start to today is what the squad need, rather than risking that bad a journey on the day.

I'll be very interested to see reports from people who were there, to see who performed well and who didn't. Until then I see no point in joining the experts who were back in the Midlands today in their pontificating.

Bono546 text me earlier to say we were soundly beaten in the scrum. Whether that means Louis was weak or the whole scrum was poor is open to interpretation. I'm sure I'll find out all the gory details next week.
