Reds in Tonge Bid

Rumors are flying around the Steel City that Premier League and Champions League giants Liverpool Football Club have made a £3,000,000 bid for Blades midfield super star Michael Tonge.

Last season teams such as Charlton Athletic, Liverpool, Blackburn Rovers and Manchester United from the Premier League and Ipswich Town from Division One where looking at the talented youngster.

Soon the Blades will play our fourth Yorkshire Derby of the season at home to Leeds United in Worthington Cup, Neil Warnock reckons that with the money from League Cup United can afford to keep Tonge, but this might not matter now.

The Blades saving grace is that their is currently a closed transfer window which stops teams from buying new players, the transfer window re-opens in January, this means that if Tonge is on his way out then United have until January to find a replacement.
