Preston North End Manager Billy Davies was left frustrated by last nights two nil loss to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground....
Billy Davis quotes on last nights game
"It was frustrating because we had so much of the play," Davies told the media after the game.
"So it's a setback but these things happen in football and they are going to happen between now and the end of the season. We know that but we have just got to accept it and I have said to the players to get their heads up, 'performance wise you have done as well as you could do, you have to take your chances when they come along' and in the end that's what we didn't do."
The defeat brought to an end Preston's ten game unbeaten run, with Davis Saying.
"It's going to be very difficult to go on another run like that," said Davies.
"The important thing is that we know with the remaining 12 games what we have got to do and we know that along the way every team is going to suffer setbacks. We have got to be strong and make sure that we bounce back very quick."
Davis handed new loan signing Chris Day his debut and apart from the two goals he had little to do.
"Chris met the players tonight for the first time at about 4.30 so ti was very difficult for him, just getting introduced and then playing but he handled it very well. He showed that he is a very good experienced keeper.
"The goal was a great flighted ball which caught the keeper off his line but I don't think there was anything he could do about it. I still felt that we were in it at 1-0, we were still trying to get at them, the few chances we didn't take before their second was the turning point."
