Motherwell have a realistic chance of making the Scottish Cup semi finals after being paired with Second Division side Stranraer in the quarter finals. For the third round in a row we've been drawn away and if we go through the semi will be at a neutral ground ( Hampden ) so Fir Park won't have seen Cup football all season after we were drawn away in both of our CIS Cup games.



Motherwell haven't faced Stranraer since the 1968 / 69 season when we won both of our Second Division matches. Our only Cup meeting came in 1962 which Motherwell won comfortably 3 - 1.

Freed Motherwell striker John Fallon who was released last season plays for Stranraer and will be hoping to get revenge on his old side.

The ground has a capacity of 5,600 which 1,800 are seated in the two small stands which run along the touchline. There is a covered standing area behind one goal and nothing behind the other.
