Motherwell manager Terry Butcher is hoping to sign Ayr United striker Eddie Annand before the transfer window closes. Terry faces stiff competition from First Division championship hopefuls Falkirk for the former Dundee man but the chance of playing SPL football again could win it for Terry in the race to sign him.


Eddie signed for Ayr United from Dundee on the first of June 2000 and has returned 35 goals in 78 appearances ( including sub ) for the Honest men but has always been looking to return to SPL football which makes Motherwell favourites to land him before the end of the month.
