In true "Old City" style, new loan signing Marc-Vivien Foe will start his Maine Road career with a four game ban. The ban has been carried over from his West Ham days where he left before he got chance to serve it.

Foe to miss first four games

City have been handed the news that new midfield loan signing, Marc-Vivien Foe, will have to sit out the first four games of the season.

Foe had a four game suspension hanging over him after two dismissals near the end of his last spell in England with West Ham United. The Football League in its usual sympathetic manner has decide that the ban still stands and that his new club must do without him for the start of the Premiership campaign.

Foe will miss the Leeds, Newcastle, Villa and Everton games. His first chance to play for the blues is likely to come on the 10th September, away to Arsenal.
