Chop out for the rest of the season

Paulo Wanchope has had to write off the rest of the Division 1 season with a flare up of his knee injury. Paulo is now racing against time to be fit for the World Cup finals.

He had returned to full training on Tuesday and was hoping to be fit for the Easter fixtures. Unfortunately the knee injury flared up once more and both Wanchope and the club have had to admit defeat in the fight to get him playing for City again this season. Paulo will now return to America to have his knee examined. He will hope that the examination reveals nothing major and that he is able to claim his starting place in the Costa Rican World Cup line up.
