ALVES DEAL NOT OVER YET

Daniel Alves is still hoping to be playing his football at Anfield next season even though the two clubs, Sevilla and Liverpool, have failed as yet to agree a fee. The frustration felt by Rafa Benitez at Sevillas reluctance to accept a deal, which would ultimately be worth 11 million, has seen him look at other options for the right wing position but Alves is still his top target.

The players agent said:
"It is true that at the moment there are difficulties with the deal," said Baster. "There is an economic difference between what Sevilla are demanding and what Liverpool are willing to pay. We need to try and reach a compromise and we will try to do this in the next few days.”
"Liverpool is Daniel's first option and he wants to play with them despite interest from other clubs. He wants to play in England and that is the most important thing."
