Luis Garcia is looking forward to his second Merseyside derby after scoring in his first one in what was a bit of a heroes display after playing on with an injury because Rafa had had to use his 3 subs because of earlier injuries.
Garcia said:
It was really good to play in that game last season because the atmosphere was unbelievable," enthused Garcia. "To score was very special for me.
"It feels like the supporters are waiting all year for games like this. When you play in that kind of game you feel like you can touch the heavens because you feel so good to be out there on the pitch.
"I've played in Barcelona v Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid v Real Madrid, and it's that kind of game. They are very exciting to be a part of it.
"I know Everton are below us in the table but anything can happen in a game like this. It's really different to the other games. But we are playing well at the moment and confidence is high.
"The most important thing this season was to try to be more consistent in the league and we're going the right way. We are trying to work the same in the Premier League as we do in the Champions League.
"It's very different to play in the Premier League, but we've worked very hard over the past few months and now it's bearing fruit."
