Sinama Pongolle believes Djibril Cisse will be a fantastic player for Liverpool this season. After the recent upset Cisse has experienced Pongolle believes he’s now in the mood to build on his Super Cup goals and terrorise opposition defences this year Pongolle said:

"Djibril is my friend and I was very happy for him to score in the Super Cup. Djibril loves scoring goals, that's what he does best and he only wants to play football and score goals for Liverpool.

"He scored two goals in the Super Cup and set the other goal up. You see the joy on his face when he scores a goal and you see how much it means to him. I know how much it means to him after his injury and he wants to do well for Liverpool.

"I think he will score lots of goals this season in the Premiership. I watched him in France and he scored lots of goals and I am very confident he can do the same in England. I think Djibril will be brilliant in the Premiership this season.

"I feel we will do well this season in the Premiership. I think we have a strong squad with a good mentality. I think honestly we are quietly confident about the Premiership this season and why can't we be champions come the end of the season?"

About himself, he says.

"It's great for me to be back and playing again. Just to be back on the pitch again after seven months out makes me very happy.

"I am getting my fitness back gradually and maybe in a couple of weeks I will be back to my best. It was nice that I was able to come back for the Super Cup Final and win another trophy."

Flo played on the right side of midfield against CSKA Moscow in Monaco and admitted it is a role that he will play to help the team.

"My best position is a central striker," he said. "I can also play just off the striker and on the right hand side. The only problem with me playing on the right is I haven't got the best physical presence or stamina at the moment as I have just returned from injury. I will play on the right if the manager asks me to play there.

"It is not about what is best for me though, it's all about the team and that is the most important thing."
