For the first time in years Liverpool Football Club aren’t playing in a European competition and I’m not really missing it. Couldn’t care less if I never saw another Europa League match in my life, they’ve reorganised that comp in to oblivion.
Travelling to the likes of Kurdistan for a Thursday night game and then straight back for a Premier League game at the week-end must have an effect on performances, and this season we need to be able to concentrate on gaining league points, with entry in to the Champions League being the objective.
As for the CL, it might be good to have a season away from it, to reassess, give the squad a chance to gel without the pressure of too many games.
I’d like to see us in the Champions League with a solid gelled squad, and a great manager to take us as far as he can. Next season we will have both of those.
Of course yes the flavour that was in eorope three seasons ago is no longer there we need to get back as fast as Bolt sprints in 100 metres.we are the only one who know how to deal with great clubs in Europe like Real Madrid,Ac Millan,fc Barcelona and more others.
The Europa cup is just a cash cow ,how to squeeze every last cent out of a competition .Such a shame the old UEFA CUP in its day was a most prestigious of competitions .All the up and coming pretenders to the throne would announce themselves first their . Now the Champions League is the only show in town .Just were are Spurs playing tonight ?
