Clarke hoping to be here for the Long Haul

Liverpool coach, Steve Clarke, has been talking about his role at Liverpool, and what it's like to work with Kenny Dalglish.   It's hoped by Liverpool fans that Clarke will be given a long term deal at Anfield, alongside  Kenny.

Clarke said:

"Every manager I’ve worked with - you pick up good qualities from all of them and so far, in a short space of time, I’ve seen a lot of great qualities from Kenny, I hope to continue the work into the future.”

Clarke believes that among Kennys great attributes the ability to communicate with his players is what has brought unity to the club.

He said:

“Before Jack went  on Kenny was making a joke and trying to relax him going onto the pitch, obviously it’s a very nerve-racking moment for a young player and Kenny was trying to take the edge out of he situation. It was the same with John"

“When you’ve got someone as experienced as Kenny who says the right words at the right time, it can only help.”
