Hansen - Playing Everton has com at a good time

Playing Everton this week-end is a great opportunity for Liverpool to gain some confidence according to Alan Hansen. A win over the blues could kick start a run of wins that could see Liverpool get back in to a top four position. Hansen said:

"Our next match is the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park and I think the game comes at a good time,"

"Everton have been struggling and if Liverpool go there and win it will give the manager, players and supporters a massive boost of confidence.

"Maybe more than anything, that boost of confidence is what we need, and what better way of getting it than by beating Everton at Goodison Park?"

He went on to say:

"What we need now are results and with three tough-looking Premier League games coming up against Everton, Blackburn and Arsenal, that won't be easy,"

"The Liverpool players are in a position where they have to play defining games earlier in the season than they would have liked, but they need to be positive about it.

"They need to look for at least seven of the nine points available and believe they can get them."

Ihave great respect for jockey hes one of us . Will always give an honest fair opinion but never puts the knife in unlike many other ex players lately.Hate derbies at the best of times and this is the worst of times . Should be called the desperate derby .If by chance we lose then get Chelsea /Arsenal away in the cup draw after the game .We could have the perfect storm senario .efnl im depressed .

Funny enough I said on Saturday evening that Liverpool will draw one of the other "big four" sides in the cup. It would sum the season up!
