In their second signing of the day, Tranmere have announced that Australian defender Shane Sheriff has signed for the Club subject to a medical will which will be taken soonat Prenton Park.

Tranmere have signed Australian defender Shane Sheriff subject to a medical and he joins Gareth Taylor, Robbie Stockdale, Kevin Ellison and John Mullin as Ronnie Moore’s new signings at Prenton Park.
Sheriff 23, is a former Leeds United trainee and has spent the last three years playing in the top division in Denmark for Aarhaus.
He has represented Australia at Under 23 level and was also a member of the Olympic Team in Athens in 2004.
Speaking to the Official Site, Ronnie Moore said “Shane has been playing at a good level of football in Denmark and is a strong defender. He is good on the ball and is capable of playing in the centre of defence or left back and is another excellent signing for Tranmere.
