One of the many organisers of todays charity match, Jasn McAteer cannot hide his delight and is eager to once again play on Anfield. McAteer has helped to organise everything with the event, and even some of his opponents, who he wants to go out and win against!

Ahead of the Tsunami match, which is kicking off today, one of the organisers, Rovers skipper, Jason McAteer speaks out of his delight of playing again at Anfield, along with the other Liverpool Legends.

McAteer told Liverpoolfc.tv: "It's another dream come true again for me to play at Anfield and it's still an emotional place for me and still brings a tear to my eye when I step out onto the pitch. We are trying to raise as much money as we can for a very good cause and the kids that have been affected by this terrible disaster.
 
"It will be an emotional day. We have Catherine Jenkins singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone' before the game and we want to get the crowd singing and enjoying the day, that is what Liverpool Football Club is all about. It is an emotional club and players throughout the years and like we saw in the derby on Sunday play with their heart, and the crowd sing to their hearts content and we want everyone to enjoy themselves.
 
"Myself and Steve Fletcher both came up with the idea of the match but on separate days. We both went to Liverpool at the same time and together with David Johnson and my agent Dave Lockwood we set about getting this game on.
 
"It was brilliant just having a training session with the lads again. I wasn't actually supposed to be here training and probably the Tranmere manager Brian Little will fine for me training in the afternoon! But when you get a chance to play five-a-side with John Aldridge, Ronnie Whelan and Ian Rush, John Barnes you can't turn that down. The youth in me came out again.
 
"Brian has been great and said I can play about 15 minutes on Sunday because Tranmere have a match on Monday. To be honest I think my legs will tell me I can only play for 15 minutes! What you have to remember is it is Liverpool legends and me!"
 
McAteer is in no doubt as to who will win the match though.
 
He said: "We are going to beat the celebrities, no doubt. I've been getting loads of phone calls and Nicky Byrne and Ralph Little have had some bets on it so we have to beat them!"
