There's no match today, so getting your fix of Rovers stuff will be difficult. By way of public service we have generated 10 random questions for you to respond to. Doubtless the time would have passed anyway, but over to you.

1. In the past 5 seasons who was our best signing in the January transfer window?
2. Over the same period who was the most disappointing January signing?
3. What was your worst ever January  awayday experience?
4. If you could be any place in the world in January where would it be and why (accepting that watching Rovers would be all our first choices)?
5. What year was the hit song 'January' and which band recorded it? What was its highest chart position?

Enjoy

1. In the past 5 seasons who was our best signing in the January transfer window?

Peter Clarke

2. Over the same period who was the most disappointing January signing?

There's been a few, but recent memory would say Florent Hoti. Seemed a signing for the sake of it.

3. What was your worst ever January away day experience?

I've only been to a handful of away games...can't remember if any were in January. But also been blessed that they were good away days.

EDIT - Wrexham away, when we drew 2-2, January 2018! I was in amongst the Wrexham fans. Trying hard not to celebrate our goals 🫣

4. If you could be any place in the world in January where would it be and why (accepting that watching Rovers would be all our first choices)?

Anywhere but in work! Bit of sunshine, bit of seaside, not many people. Bliss.

5. What year was the hit song 'January' and which band recorded it? What was its highest chart position?

No idea. Never heard it (I don't think) and didn't want to Google it and ruin it for others.

1. Hopefully Rob Apter.

2.There's been a few.

3. Away at Oldham on New Years Day, January 2005..a 2-2 draw, worst away day not because of the footy and result but coz of the weather, it was absolutely freezing and the coldest i have ever been inside a footy ground..Shiver Shiver Shiver!.it was that cold that you couldn't enjoy the game..i was back in UK at the time for the Xmas hols from HK.

4. In India watching England in the cricket test match series which starts this month, and with a nice little holiday in The Maldives en route beforehand.

5. Pilot 1975, not sure of the chart position though.

Must be about 11 years ago that we won away at Brentford, think we were 3rd at the time. Worst winter away ground has to be Oldscum. And if I could be anywhere else at this time of the year it would either be Sydney or Goa.

Passing the time tonight on the BBC footy website and they have live commentary of the FA Cup clash Bournemouth v Swansea from BBC Radio Solent, so i tuned in for a moment and ex Rover from the 80s big John Williams is doing the co-commentary..i never realised he was still doing the Bournemouth commentaries, i think he has been with BBC Solent for years now.

* only 15 mins on the clock and Bournemouth are already 3-0 up.

Half time..Bournemouth 5-0 Swansea...Swansea's defending has been WOEFUL...the new Swansea manager is Luke Williams who just left Notts County a couple of weeks ago..His Notts sides were known for their shocking defending and leaking lots of goals..he is doing it at Swansea now lol.
