After yet more comings and goings at Prenton Park in the past seven days, we bring you a summary of the latest status of the Rovers squad members....  

Goalkeepers:

Iain Turner:  IN CONTRACT

Signed a new one-year contract on 7^th May 2016 and is now in contract until the end of the 2016/17 season.

Luke Pilling:  IN CONTRACT

Signed a new one-year contract on 3^rd May 2016 and is now in contract until the end of the 2016/17 season.

Scott Davies:  IN CONTRACT

Signed a new two-year contract on 19^th May 2016 and is now in contract until the end of the 2017/18 season.

Sam Ramsbottom:  RELEASED

Released on 3^rd May 2016.

Defenders:

Evan Gumbs:  IN CONTRACT

Signed a new one-year contract on 3^rd May 2016 and is now in contract until the end of the 2016/17 season.

Ritchie Sutton:  IN CONTRACT

Signed a two-year contract in the summer of 2015 and is in contract until the end of 2016/17 season.

Steve McNulty: IN CONTRACT

Signed a new 18-month contract on 30^th December 2016 and is now in contract until the end of the 2016/17 season.

Lee Vaughan:  IN CONTRACT

Signed a new one-year contract on 7^th June 2016 and is now in contract until the end of the 2016/17 season.

Michael Ihiekwe:  IN CONTRACT

Signed a new one-year contract on 1^st June 2016 and is now in contract until the end of the 2016/17 season.

Liam Ridehalgh:  OUT OF CONTRACT

Out of contract as at the end of the 2015/16 season.  No new contract offer reported.

Liam Hogan:  LEFT CLUB

Signed a one-year contract with Gateshead on 17^th May

Marcus Holness:  RELEASED

Released on 7^th May 2016.

Martin Riley:  LEFT CLUB

Signed a one-year contract with Wrexham on 25^th May.

Matt Hill:  RELEASED

Released on 14^th May 2016.

Midfielders:

Daren Askew:  IN CONTRACT

Signed a one-year professional contract on 3^rd May and is now in contract until the end of the 2016/17 season.

Jake Kirby:  IN CONTRACT

Signed a new two-year contract extension in the summer of 2014 and is now in contract until the end of the 2016/17 season.

Jay Harris:  IN CONTRACT

Signed a new two-year contract on 5^th April 2016 and is now in contract until the end of the 2017/18 season.

Lois Maynard:  IN CONTRACT

Signed a two-year contract in the summer of 2015 and is in contract until the end of 2016/17 season.

Mitch Duggan:  IN CONTRACT

Signed a new one-year contract on 3^rd May 2016 and is now in contract until the end of the 2016/17 season.

Steven Jennings:  IN CONTRACT

Signed a new one-year contract on 31st May 2016 and is now in contract until the end of the 2016/17 season.

Adam Mekki:  CONTRACT OFFERED

Offered a new contract on 6^th May – has not yet signed.

Ben Jago:  RELEASED

Released on 3^rd May 2016.

Jack Mackreth: LEFT CLUB

Signed a one-year contract with Macclesfield Town on 6^th June.

Liam Davies:  RELEASED

Released on 3^rd May 2016.

Strikers:

Andy Cook:  SIGNED

Signed a two-year contract on 24^th May and is in contract until the end of 2017/18 season.

Cole Stockton:  IN CONTRACT

Signed a three-year contract in the summer of 2014 and is in contract until the end of 2016/17 season.

Connor Jennings:  SIGNED

Signed a two-year contract on 2^nd June and is in contract until the end of 2017/18 season.

James Norwood:  IN CONTRACT

Signed a two-year contract in the summer of 2015 and is in contract until the end of 2016/17 season.

Sam Illesanmi:  IN CONTRACT

Signed a one-year professional contract on 3^rd May and is now in contract until the end of the 2016/17 season.

Tolani Omotola:  IN CONTRACT

Signed a one-year professional contract on 3^rd May and is now in contract until the end of the 2016/17 season.

Jonathon Margetts:  OUT OF CONTRACT

Out of contract as at the end of the 2015/16 season.  No new contract offer reported.

Gary Taylor-Fletcher:  RELEASED

Released on 7^th May 2016.

Michael Higdon:  RELEASED

Released on 7^th May 2016.

I think a LOT of fans appreciate the regular updates on the full squad, thanks Deadly. It looks as though a designated left back, cover for central defence (in case of injuries etc), one additional midfielder (experienced), and a couple of competent wingers (Mekki? + one), would make a very strong side. It looks like signings are being 'spread out' as the new 'transfer window' approaches - so I expect further notifications in due course. No wonder season ticket sales are staying high, ever had that 'feeling' something positive is going on.......

Great update!
It looks like the right players have been retained in the most part, and good additions made to the squad. It makes a refreshing change from past seasons which have seen mass changes in the squad. I hope this is a good omen for the coming season(s)
