Your chance to vote for your Tranmere Man of the Match from this afternoon's 1-0 derby away win at Chester in in the National League.....

Following this afternoon's 1-0 derby away win at Chester, we are asking you to vote for you Tranmere Man of the Match from the game as part of our post-match poll series.

Rovers put in their best performance of the season and could have been out of sight within the opening ten minutes as chances were cleared off the line, blocked by Thompson in the Chester goal and then headed just over the cross bar in the opening exchanges.

In spite of Rovers' dominance, the score remained 0-0 at half-time and after some favourable decisions for the home side from an extremely poor referee, it was Rovers who eventually got the decision that mattered as Adam Mekki was fouled in the area by Hunt and James Norwood dispatched what turned out to be the winner from the penalty spot.

Late on in the game a second blatant penalty was denied as a Steven Jennings shot was saved on the line by the hand of a Chester defender but the end result was bizarrely a Rovers corner.

Rovers climbed back into fourth place in the National League on the back of this victory whilst Chester remain down towards the wrong end of the table as the season reaches it's final quarter.

To vote for your Man of the Match from the game simply vote on the poll on THIS LINK whilst the results will be published here in the next 48 hours.

Wasn't there but listened on radio. Sounded like Mcnulty was immense so he's got my vote

So difficult this one as the entire starting eleven were excellent!

Jennings was a welcome returning player today but I had my Man of the Match down to three in McNulty (never lost a header all day at the back), Hughes and Mekki but I've gone for Hughes who I thought was exceptionally good in central midfield today!

McNulty for me, won everything.

Apparently Radio Merseyside went for McNulty too - can't argue with that in the same way I couldn't have argued if Mekki had won it either.

I know it's a cop out but how about 'men' of the match;

McNulty because he was boss at the back, but never seemed under threat

Jennings, he was commanding in midfield.

Vaughan, he was enthusiastic in midfield.

Mekki, he was skilful and threatening going forward.

Overall I don't know, maybe draw lots?
