In our latest Man of the Match vote of the season which related to last Saturday's 1-1 draw away at Welling United, it was goalkeeper Scott Davies who was voted as your Man of the Match for the game.....  

After a full week of voting following Tranmere's 1-1 draw away at Welling United last Saturday lunchtime, we can now reveal that the Man of the Match for Tranmere's performance, as voted for by you the fans and readers of this site, was Scott Davies.

The Rovers goalkeeper made a string of excellent first half saves which have clearly earned him this award as he was then left with little to do in the second half as Rovers came out from half-time much better and took the lead inside 90 seconds of the restart.  Rovers were then robbed of three points though thanks in part to an awful red card decision against Ritchie Sutton which has since been overturned and the home side equalised shortly afterwards giving Man of the Match Davies no chance in the Rovers goal.

As you can see below, the poll saw a total of 25 votes cast during the full length voting period this time around as fans both at the game and watching on TV were able to cast their votes.  As already mentioned, the vote was pretty one-sided with Scott Davies taking the award with all but four of the votes cast (84% of the votes).

Of the other four votes that didn't go to Davies, two of them went to Andy Mangan with 8% of the vote (2 votes) and the other two went to Steven Jennings and Liam Ridehalgh with 4% of the vote (1 vote) each.

Thanks to everyone who voted in the Man of the Match poll and don't forget that you will be able to vote for your Man of the Match for the home game against Chester on Saturday evening after the match so stay tuned to Total Tranmere.
