In our latest Man of the Match vote of the new season which related to last Saturday's disappointing 2-1 defeat away at Altrincham, it was Adam Mekki who was the best of the bunch to take his first fan voted Man of the Match Award.....  

After a full week of voting following Tranmere's less tha impressive 2-1 away defeat at Altrincham last Saturday afternoon, we can now reveal that the Man of the Match for Tranmere's pretty disappointing performance, as voted for by you the fans and readers of this site, was Adam Mekki. 

After a slow start to the game to match the overall team performance in the first half, Mekki improved as the game progressed as Tranmere began to improve their performance which was sadly too little too late after conceding two sloppy first half goals.

As you can see below, the poll saw a total of just 14 votes cast during the full length voting period this time around, which considering the nature of the Rovers performance and the reaction of the fans after the game it's little surprise there were so few votes.  As a result the vote was reasonably tight but did see Mekki emerge as a clear winner, polling twice as many votes as the four players that all finished in joint second place.

Mekki polled 29% of the vote (4 votes) comfortably ahead of Marcus Holness, Liam Ridehalgh, Lois Maynard and substitute Marlon Jackson who all polled 14% of the vote each (2 votes).  Steven Jennings and Jay Harris were the only other players to poll any votes with 7% of the vote (1 vote each).
