Tranmere Man of the Match: Luton Town (H)

Your chance to vote for your Tranmere Man of the Match from Monday afternoon's disappointing and hugely damaging 1-0 home defeat to Luton Town.......

Following another disappointing and damaging home defeat for Rovers as they went down 1-0 to Luton Town, we are asking you to vote for you Tranmere Man of the Match from the game as part of our post-match poll series.

The performance from Rovers wasn't one of the worst but also wasn't of the recent standards of the back-to-back draws against AFC Wimbledon and Stevenage in the past two games with the game being decided by a rebounded second half penalty.

Jennings White Kit

Steven Jennings had a solid game in the Rovers Midfield

The first half was relatively uneventful with niether side looking likely to break through but after a long break for what looked like a serious injury to Max Power who left the pitch on a stretcher at the start of the second half, Rovers looked lively going forward and times and seemed the most likely of the two teams to make the vital breakthrough.

However, Peter Brezovan in the Rovers goal decided the game by needlessly giving away a penalty which although he subsequently saved the kick, he couldn't react quick enough to block the rebound for what proved to be the game deciding goal.

To vote for you Man of the Match from the game simply vote on the poll on THIS LINK.

Jennings was our ONLY decent player. The others may as well have not bothered turning up.

Now there's a surprise. I would guess that he'll have his usual ''votes'' for the next five games too.

It's for the interest of everyone on here and I've now had to step in on two threads in the space of ten minutes that's all.

It's not aimed at one specific person it's to try and cut down the bickering which I have already been told is putting a number of people of using and viewing the site.

Thanks

When it is constant baiting of the same person or people who have different opinions or ideas then it's not banter. It's trolling or bullying, whichever word is your preference. Banter is great, reasoned discussions are too, however heated they get, but continual digs at people or constantly whose opinion differs from your own then it is not.

It's not like anyone on here can claim to be an expert or have a more valid opinion than someone else. We are all just supporters at the end of the day.

Spot on Doogie. I know how it feels to be on the end of the situation you describe above and it isn't pleasant.

If TT is ever looking for someone to take up a diplomatic role I know where to come haha!

banter aside, as previously mentioned jennings was by far and away our best player, for an hour he looked like the center midfielder we thought he was, for the first half hour he looked his usual disinterested self, then something in him just seem to click, it was quite strange to watch
