No matter the formation, tactics are important, but the will to win is foremost for this huge game.

Thompson with Ihewiki(?) Regardless of 3 or4 at the back must start.
The midfield first name on the team sheet must be Laird,
Kayode up front, then pick the team around this spine.
We have to take hold of the game and compete with them.

Anything other than this we will get beat (again!)

It's time for the real fighting Tranmere Rovers to stand up.

Wouldn't play Odejayi he doesn't score and do enough and gives away too many needless fouls.

think we will draw 1 1 with the goal from a loan player

Glad to see I am the first to say "This is a Must win Game".
With our record against fellow strugglers I am just hoping that Jamie Cureton doesn't have one of his scoring days and put us further in the brown stuff.

That would be 39 yr old Jamie Cureton, banging in 13 goals this season. Take note Mr Adams, quality does not go with age, you adapt, time to bring in Jason to centre stage to add some culture to this sorry excuse of a midfield.

Dagenham to be fair are probably the worst side I've seen us play this season (the only team I haven't seen at all are Accrington as I missed both the home and away games) - hence our 1-0 win down there so fingers crossed!

If we play 4-5-1 with Jennison and Rory back from injury then I can see us taking all 3 points, our centre backs are not good enough to play just 3 at the back.
Also need to sort out left back.
A positive 2-0 for me.

Play Fon Willliams, Holmes, Donnelly and a load of the youth and see how the youth graft for the team with a few older potentially confidence boosting players.

Then have a few others like Dugdale and Koumas on the bench just in case the remote possibility of being 1 down with 20 minutes left occurs.

Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.

Why do we have to wait until we are 3-1 down and 20 odd minutes left to show any bottle or fight.

IMO 3 gifts again today, from a combination of the defence and OFW.

I am trying to remain positive but, such basic errors and now 5 defeats in last 6.

Micky left Port Vale after 6 straight defeats.

Nail well and truely hit on the head! Today we saw the difference between a bit of quality in midfield and that of the likes of power who are totally ineffective yet are on the team sheet weeek in week out. I would rather see Hume in his place than upfront trying to win long balls against 6 5" defenders.

That was non league football at best and that is where we are going.

Adams is utterly clueless and the recruitment of new loan players each week has shown his desperation and how panicked he is! I would rather have the hot dog woman in charge. Some may say its too late to get rid but if we don't then I believe we are down. As bad as some of the players performed the tactics of the manager and his disruption to the side have got us back into this complete mess.

Quite........quite pathetic.
Spine of the cocyx of the team weak = Power anaonymous for the vast majority of the game, aside from his pointing and instructing.
Dugdale, again so weak, slow and indecisive.

Spot the difference, their defenders attacked every ball, and every second ball - and if they won it launched it downfield. They didn't play football in their half, just looked to play in our half.
Cureton - 37/8? yet still ran the legs off our defenders.

POsitive - Fonners shouting at his defenders, he could yet marshall the defence - pity he only does it after we conceed.
Stats suggest that Dagenham only had three shots on target!

Wow I really didn't expect a performance like that, I honestly thought we would play like it was a cup final and every single ball was more important than the previous one, it's horrible because there is nothing we can do about it other than sit and watch it unfold, I am starting to worry now I think I was blocking it out before this game but it's starting to sink in now

1st goal was ball over top our centre halves were outpaced by a 39 year old striker, 2nd was a quality finsh third was poor defending including Donnelly pass ball straight to the scorer cant really blame fon for them goals

The third goal was a bad Dugdale clearance straight to their player. All three of their goals were quality finishes after varying degrees of poor defending.

It should also be borne in mind that Cureton missed two possibly three[by his standards] sitters. The goal he scored was probably the hardest chance of them all.

Whilst Fonners wasn't the only below par performer today by any means. as the goalkeeper their mistakes are noticed the most.

Today he was all over the place, his starting position for the first goal was the reason he didn't get there first, despite Dugdale and Thompson missing the through ball. Most goalkeepers act as sweepers by pushing up. Certainly, in the few games Brezovan has played he does exactly that.

His shot stopping ability didn't help because his angles were all wrong, again he was almost on his goal line. There appeared to be an exchange between him and timmins after the second goal.

No use being the best shot stopper in the league when you are so poor at nearly all the basics of goalkeeping.

As usual, he was berating the defence after the event and gives virtually no help throughout the game apart from that annoying Up!! Up!! he continually shouts.

Sorry Fonner's rant again but, I honestly believe he is fundamental part of the problem.

Gardner scored, which might help his confidence and at least there was a bit of guts near the end with a second goal, but Dagenham are not exactly world-beaters and this should have been a game that absolutely required winning.

At least getting a quick equaliser, showed some kind of reaction and the possibility of a fight back, but the team let themselves down to an extent and that second felt more like a consolation than any attempt to restore some pride.

I'am not sure about the too many changes argument.

A lot is being said about RE's squad not having been good enough, when MA first came in he slaughtered the lack of effort & quality & got them working hard consequently we went on a good run, he has now "improved" the squad & we are back to lack of effort & still have poor players. Stick with A 1st 11 & get them battling & hope for the results.

We ain't going to get a new manager.. Adams has to pick a formation and first 11 players and stick with them...Too much tinkering has taken us backwards..In my opinion ! And I have mentioned it before ..Koumas should be first name on the team sheet and build team around him..Hume is a far better opinion than Hugill and I am baffled why he hasn't played more..In Koumas and Hume we have our most gifted and creative players and yet Adams seems reluctant to play them...Crazy..Ikeweke should be playing...were was he yesterday..and I agree Gardner look a good prospect...For the captain Jennings form of late has been dreadful and of the countless loaners brought in none play midfield which again is baffling..We are still alive and still have 11 games left in which to save our beloved club from the abyss..Lets hope Adams sees the light before we fall thought the trapdoor and the darkness that will follow..!!

To be fair re the above, looked like Koumas was trying to play on ...and run it off...........sensible substitution......and one which Adams seemed desperate to make, with no apparent delay in waiting to find out the extent of the injury.
Disappointing, given that as expected, Koumas had been playing more perceptive football, holding on to the ball, and looking up for the pass - allowing Donnelly and Donacien to play well for the start of the game.
Had he been on that form, and played for the last 20 minutes against Portsmouth and Wycombe, who Knows what might have been.
I just get the impression, that Adams was not disappointed when he was injured.
Any news as to why Thompson was substituted, or Iheweke was not in the squad?
Money being spent on McGahey looks a complete waste I would suggest.

I think that Hume was brought back on the basis that he could probably recover any lost fitness and was player of the league in the IPL, which included a few quality names like Trezeguet and Capdevila, so there was the perception he was good in a league that in terms of most players was comparable to league 2 possibly league 1.

However until Adams picks a settled setup on the pitch, any positive influence players like Hume might be able to exert on performances, will be hindered, because the same problem is occurring for some of the other players and playing your most prolific striker in wide areas, makes no sense.

It would be like Liverpool playing Sturridge on the wing and wondering why his form dropped to less than 10 a season average form.

Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.
