Tranmere of course travel to Accrington Stanley on Saturday afternoon at Store First Stadium with kick off at 3.00pm and will be looking to add their first three point haul at Wycombe in their previous away game a few weeks ago.
Anyone needing a lift its available if anyone wants to jump in?whats everyone's thoughts think this is a great chance to get a bit of momentum going.im going with a 2 0 win for us Donnelly getting the 2nd after odejayi getting the opener
A good chance to win, but nothing must be talent for a granted, as a wounded lion team with no wins in 5 and the home advantage, might just suddenly find it's roar.
I still think the team can win and a possible 6 places if they do, although I do think 2-4 league places is a more realistic gain and I'd be disappointed if they didn't climb at least 2, but a good result will build confidence and providing it doesn't turn into a banana skin result, or someone doesn't get sent off and jeopardise things, I'd say 2-0 a s well..
Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.
Listened to it on the internet, sounds like we were in total control of the game until the negative substitutions.
Went from 4-4-2 to 4-5-1. James Rowe was playing well, young lad full of energy, so why bring him off?
You have to question RE subs yet again!
Paid price for complete lack of ambition, again.
No shots on target in first half.
Scored from only 2 efforts in second half (Koumas effort off the bar excepted).
I thought Baggie was going to fall over for that second goal, he was that surprised to go round the keeper.
At 2-1, should have gone for jugular. But sat back and invited Stanley on.
Still should have had enough to see the game out, but failed to deal with routine cross for equaliser; and defenders guilty of ball watching after PB saved the initial shot, for the third.
Played 4-5-1 throughout. Cole increasingly isolated as game went on.
You probably cannot blame Stanleys second on the two substitutions.
Although timing will give boo boys plenty of ammunition to fire at RE. And their were plenty round me. Fine ambassadors for Birkenhead.
I would like to be a fly on the wall at RE/MP's next "accountability" meeting
Complete load of@#$%&that game from start to finish, wrong formation again, playing a defensive formation against bottom of the league, we could hardly muster a shot or even any attacking threat yet again. I really cant see us getting anywhere the way he has us playing this season. Whats happened to the attacking football we were promised? worst I've seen us play in my memory that one all at the worst ground in the world too.... sort it out please!
Just some observations:
Can't quite work out why we spend fifteen minutes warming up practicing quick two touch passing under extreme pressure when during the game, particularly in the first half, we simply attempt to play the ball over the top. Feeling increasingly sorry for Stockton, as he is slated for not working hard enough when he spends the majority of the game chasing down lost causes. I've been to three games and they are Shrewsbury, Cheltenham and Accrington. Each time whenever I see us concede we concede again almost immediately. This has to a mental problem with the players and when you look at our centre backs today they happen to be 20 and 21. They have the technical ability but are lacking the mental and physical strength for League 2. Fonners' place in the team looks safe as Brezovan was excellent at coming for crosses but his kicking and mistake for their third were poor. Laird had a poor game. Unfortunately I don't agree with taking off Richards as often he is our only out ball. The few times we played half decent football we got chances. But only three in the second half. I do worry about our ability to see games out and we seem far to naïve for this league at the moment. But we are young. We need a solid mid-table season under Edwards to learn the league and develop a side and push on from there. I would hate to see him sacked as we need this period of transition to succeed in the future. Accrington were extremely poor today. Unfortunately, we weren't much better. And were weak at the key moments.
Just my opinion on the following players.i struggle to understand how these players can train and play football all week then put in that performance.that was an absolute disgrace and it baffles me how supporters can applaud them players off the pitch.if I turned into work and put that effort in I wouldn't last long.they were a total embarrassment and should be ashamed.id give Matt hill and Baggie the benefit of the doubt.today cost me £50 petrol ticket and little drink and a bite and to be given that excuse in return is disgraceful.i don't mind losing if we see the effort but them near 1000 supporters who have spend hard earned money to travel then watch that is not acceptable.Danny Holmes can't cross or head offers nothing at all.max power is over rated half hearted meant to be the captain but I never seen him break sweat.james Rowe was the worst for me spent most of the game slipping or falling over just not good enough at all.stockton is lazy but needs a target man or someone up front.1st half we never even had a shot on target Mark laird is just a million miles off the level.an absolute passenger in a shockingly bad setup that can't even give us 100 %.the supporters don't deserve this at all.embarrassing display top to bottom
Thanks goosed meant to say about them being absolute bottlers too.so many time i see them bottling from tackles, not sticking their head in and trying little flicks when they know a tackle is coming
They would not be able to hold the lead...... Cheap joke I know but what is going on? We dont concede goals we concede spurts.... Cheltenham Shrewsbury and now this!!!!!! Who is working on the defence? .... Sheer madness. I predicted we would remain unbeaten during September..... Not looking forward to seeing mates tomorrow
How we managed to lose from being totally in control at 2-1 was baffling. Bottlers is certainly an apt decision. At least Shrewsbury and Cheltenham are two of the ''better'' teams in this league. But ACCRINGTON!!!The locals are very pleasant and the meat pies in the Crown very tasty but their team ........
When we played it on the floor,we scored[twice] and nearly scored once[Richards] so why were we playing it in the air the rest of the game?
Stockton should have been taken off rather than Richards.
I agree about Rowe being subbed[but for Kirby??????]Gill should have been brought on instead.
OFW's position is safe having seen his ''replacement''
When the players did some stretching exercises before the game by the halfway line right in front of our fans,a number of them looked pretty stiff and struggled to keep up.

I like James Rowe but he was poor today. However the wrong sub was put on. Should have been Gill. Our defence botched things up for the second and their number 2 lost Baggie and then hit a decent shot which the keeper spilled for the third.
Good for Bell-baggie to get a couple, but poor in terms of giving away a lead that should have been maintained.
This kind of thing needs ot e sort out, as it's starting to have a detrimmental effect. That's 3 games now that have gone pear shaped when in front and if it become too frequent, then the chance to keep in touch with the "players" in league two will slip.
Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.
Who was number 27 on bench yesterday? Anyone wasnt named on the bench on sky sports app, someone said donnalley got injured gettin off the the team coach ??
