Goals from Jason Koumas, Ryan Lowe and Steven Jennings earn Rovers a crucial three points against relegation threatened opponents Notts County...
Despite conceding, Rovers remained defiant and were rewarded ten minutes after when club legend Jason Koumas skipped past the County defence before taking a shot at goal which resulted in a well deserved equaliser for the whites. The buzz from the first goal was still felt when the second goal came and once again Koumas was involved when his pass to Ridehalgh was crossed to Rovers top scorer Ryan Lowe who's shot flew into the net. The action came thick and fast and the next major event in the game came in the shape of a penalty for Notts County after a foul from Ash Taylor, however Welsh international Owain Fon Williams did enough to keep out Alan Sheehan's spot kick and keep the score at 2-1 to the hosts.

Ryan Lowe put Rovers 2-1 before Half-Time
After a dominant first half, Rovers prowess seemed to have fizzled out by the second half and the Magpies equalised with half an hour left on the clock when a foul on Ronan Murray resulted in a superb goal from the freekick by Alan Sheehan. The pressure was on Rovers now who had questions to answer and they saved the best until last when Greg Tempest's failed clearance found Steven Jennings who released a venomous shot right into the back of the net much to the relief of the Tranmere faithful.
