If you can't make Tranmere's game away at Yeovil Town in NPower League One on Saturday afternoon, why not follow our live match updates right here and join in the banter right and with other Rovers fans who are unable to attend......
Following football even at League One level is pretty expensive these days and no matter how much you love the Rovers, it will sometimes be difficult to make the games in person whether it be the lengthy away trips, or for exiles living elsewhere in the UK or abroad, the home games too.
As a result, for those fans who can't make some of the Rovers games this season, we at Total Tranmere will not only be providing this match discussion thread for you to discuss developments with the game, but in a brand new feature we will also be providing a live updates service from the game which will include team line-ups, score updates and also pictures and snippets live from the game.
Tranmere of course, travel to Yeovil Town in NPower League One on Saturday evening so if you're not going to the game why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on? He made a little aside about the 4-5-1 tactic in his very first press conference and it potentially cost him that MK Dons game as well, as many people couldn't understand him playing it.
Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.
This one away I can get to. I'm sick of us getting beat at Yeovil - we need to go there and do a job on them but I'm not sure we've got enough players fit to do it. I hope they open up the terrace behind the goal for us this time and not have us stuck by the corner flag. 3-1 Tranmere.
A very very hard game (arnt they all!!). We have a very poor record at Yeovil and until there blip last week they had been in sparkling form beating Brentford, Sheff U, MK Dons and Coventry with a draw against Doncaster in there last six games. Shows how well we played against Colchester with them beating Yeovil last weekend. I hope we may catch them in a slight downturn of form as most teams at the top seem to be going through at one stage or the other. Definataly agree Kay should play CB and bring Holmes back in his normal position. A draw would be a great result but can not play for one as I think Yeovil will score. First goal very important, if we do get it we must not sit back and let them push on. Need a good supply of balls into the feet of AA and I would start with O'Halloran as in my opinion he has looked sharp and full of running the last two games. 2-2.
We have to win today, jlaa with a goal i think, Palmer is back to take robbos place too, so we could sneak it here i think today, hope daniels has a good game too
Unfortunatley the spirit has been knocked out of me already this season, cant believe we are going to miss the best best opportunity for promotion i can remember since the 90's this season. What the team selection was about today, Ronnie only knows, Injured striker?, injured defender? dropping Kay? not starting Palmer? I know we can easily say we have no money, blah, blah, blah, but this season i honestly believed we could do it, we have a decent squad, we were 7 points clear not too long ago. Yes Yeovil are a decent side and so this defeat isnt too hard. But the recent home performances are just not good enough. we are better than this, the first half of the season showed it. We have no clue when attacking half of the time. I just dont get where its all gone wrong, yes we have had injuries, but that doesnt account for the way we play at home.
A very disappointing game. The first half was scrappy but we looked as likely to get something as they did Sidibee aleays gave an option upfront and Bell Baggie offered width/
In the second half we became increasingly disjointed. The goal was conceded from afree kick given away by Holmes because not for the first time this season ,he let his man get goal side of him. That said they should never have scored with a free kick to the left of the box and I wonder about the positioning of the wall. The goal seemed to drain all confidence. We relied oh high balls far to much and Yeovils two center backs won everything in the air. It was adifficult pitch but it was hard to understand why we played so little on the ground.
I was surprised when Bell Baggie went off for after that we never looked like getting around the back on the right side. Amoo looked very ordinary and Gibson's distribution was below par. There was an absence of creativity and O'Halloron and Correy made little impact.
Goodison had a good game and for me was our best player and taylor was sound.
I have seen Yeovil a number of times this season and this was probably abelow par performance from them.As for rovers it seems as if we are always capable of gifting a chance and we no longer look like a side that can keep a clean sheet. There were too many lightweight contributions to feel any great confidence that we can saty in the play offs
Very disappointing 2nd half. It was game over after they scored especially when Bell baggie came off. I don't think Yeovil are anything special - we just looked clueless up front once we were chasing the game and they closed it out easily. It's starting to look like the playoffs are our only realistic goal now. Its like it doesn't even matter who our next opponents are- everyone is giving us problems.
Swindon poached a win in the last 5 minutes from a losing position and Doncaster poached a win against a 10 man team midweek.
One or two teams getting away with things whilst Tranmere have injury problems messing up team selection and to some extent form.
Tranmere clearly let the game slip today and must consolidate, but getting 4 points in 3 games when you've lost a new striker to injury twice, drawn a game with 2 enforced subs through injury and played without one of them today, is always going to hinder team performances somewhat and no Wallace for the remainder won't help either.
However some players must recognise their part in some results and aim to put in bigger performances, when other players are out and cannot give much.
Still time to make amends but inroads need to be made to other teams and quickly.
Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.
I hope I wrong but the teams that were losing are now winning (except us) and suddenly we run the risk of not
even making the play offs.
Would be very sad after the early season performance.
We still have a chance but desperately need to string a run
of results together.
The parting of the Red Sea by Corry and Stockton didn't exactly help him.If they'd have stayed where they were, the shot would have probably hit one of them.
Sidibe should never have started. I don't care if he told Ronnie he was okay, he was injured a week earlier so start him on bench and get him 100%. Why Palmer didn't start was also a strange one. As for Kay, was he injured?
