Parry Post-Match: "They've Scored Two Scrawny Goals"
By Deadly Submarine
January 22 2012
After Tranmere slumped to yet another dismal away defeat by a familar 2-1 scoreline against Bournemouth on Saturday, Manager Les Parry somehow found positives from another defeat.....
Rovers continue to lose on the road, usually by two goals to one at the current time but Manager Les Parry continues to find what he calls positives but what many fans may call excuses as Rovers awful run of form continued at Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.
Speaking to Tranmere Player after the game, Les Parry said....
"Not once this season have we been turned over by our opposition. It's just things continue not to fall our way. The difference in this league between winning and losing is by a single hair."
"A mistake there, a great finish, a referee decision - it's these things that are the difference between us and Charlton at the top of the table."
"They've scored two scrawny goals and Paul Rachubka has hardly been worked throughout the game. We should have been three-up before they equalised."
"There were elements of poor play from us, but again I can't fault the effort from the lads."
Well Les has cleared things up for me now. There was me thinking we were sliding down the division due to poor tactics, finishing and management when all along it was sheer bad luck. How can I have been so stupid? I must be an idiot. That's how Les is treating me and our supporters anyway.
He never blames himself does he?
I think someone on this board has said that things aren't that bad because we only lose by the odd goal and don't get thrashed. Surely that is down to our negative, "don't lose" approach. Ask yourself this - when do we ever look like thrashing anyone ourselves? Never!
Our stubborn manager could end up getting us relegated by his refusal to change the way we play and complete lack of a Plan B. He won't change though because he would look a right idiot if we won a match 4-0 wouldn't he?
I saw the highlights. The first goal was a massive deflection and if Pugh meant that second one I'd be surprised. It looked like a cross that turned into a flukey goal, either that or he thinks his surname is Aquero.
Sometimes Tranmere concede some dud stuff, but those were not, to me anyway, goals you can heap a lot of blame on any of the players for.
Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.
PeteTRFC probably referring to the fact it originally said 3 sub
Thank You Pete ! much oblidged
Presume you changed it Sub ? Why ? please explain why you would do this ! there are enough arguments and disagreements on here as it is ! tell me why yoiu did it or who it was
Well since the score was 2 1 they can't have scored three scrawny goals so I changed the article title because it was quite clearly wrong (the text in the story said two goals all along and therefore didn't match the title).
Not sure why I even have to explain myself anyway.
@gony where does he say "they scored three scrawney goals"
Spin doctors ?!?!? amazes me !
Er directly under the picture in the article which you clearly haven't even read.
I think an explanation was a fair requet after this comment of yours Sub, where you may well appere to forst look me stupid, then belittle me, after you yourself had changed the title you refered to ! a little shall we just say unfair !
I'd love to see you write 5/6 articles a week and not make one mistake. Takes a lot of time, effort and motivation to run this site. I don't do as much as I probably should but it's a wonder anyone does if posters are gonna react like that to a simple human error is it...
You're hardly in a position to criticise anyone's mistakes when it comes to writing.
