The Tranmere Rovers Trust have released a statement today regarding their recent meeting with anti Ingleborough development campaigner Dean Johnson whilst also announcing the date of the Trust's AGM......

As reported on  Total Tranmere at the end of last week, members of the Tranmere Rovers Trust board met last week with Dean Johnson, the local musician who has been campaigning against plans by Tranmere Rovers to develop the Ingleborough Road site and who also runs the Wilfred Owen Story museum in Birkenhead.

Speaking of the meeting, Trust vice Chairman, Mark Bartley said......

"The Tranmere Rovers Trust and Wilfred Owen story have held positive discussions around the Ingleborough Rd planning proposal."

“We share the same concerns about the heritage and legacy of the football club and Wilfred Owen and believe they are vitally important to this development."

“We are in the process of working together on proposals that will reassure people with interests on both sides."

The Tranmere Rovers Trust has also announced that it is to hold its Annual General Meeting before Tranmere Rovers’ home game with Huddersfield Town on Saturday 28th January 2012.  The meeting starts at 12:30pm and will be held in the Belmont Suite at the rear of the Bebington Kop stand at Prenton Park.

Members new and old are encouraged to attend the AGM, where they will have a chance to influence the future plans and activities of the Trust.  The agenda of the meeting will be as follows:

1. CHAIRMAN'S REPORT
2. FINANCIAL SUMMARY
3. GUEST SPEAKER – ANDY WALSH (FC UNITED OF MANCHESTER)
4. TRUST BOARD ELECTIONS & RE-ELECTIONS
5. UPDATE ON NEGOTIATIONS WITH PETER JOHNSON & THE INGLEBOROUGH DEVELOPMENT
6. ANY OTHER BUSINESS

Speaking about the forthcoming AGM, Trust chairman Ben Harrison said.........

“It has been a busy and productive year for the Trust. We hope that as many Trust members as possible will attend the AGM."

“We are delighted that Andy Walsh from FC United has agreed to give a presentation to the meeting.  FC United have shown how a Trust-run club can thrive and prosper. We hope he will be able to give members an insight into what we are trying to achieve at Tranmere Rovers.”
