After his side lost 2-1 away to a poor looking Yeovil Town on Saturday afternoon, Rovers Manager Les Parry was left to rue his side's missed chances although there were many other aspects of the game that let Rovers down....

Tranmere  Manager Les Parry was left to rue missed chances by his side as they fell to a third successive 2-1 away defeat in the League, this time at struggling Yeovil Town but the inability to defend and to break the ball down in midfield were contributing factors to this dismal defeat.

Speaking to Tranmere Player, Parry said....

"I thought we'd taken control of the game. They started the second half quite well without really hurting us.  We stopped them playing then in the last 25 minutes we created three tremendous chances we should have done better with."

"We were right behind Robbie Weir's shot and it must have hit a bit of a divot because it looked like it was in all the way and suddenly it deviated and hit the post."

"Muzzy had a great chance, not his shot from 30 yards, the one on the edge of the box he should have put in.  Adam McGurk had a header towards the end where he's got to attack it and he should have done better."

It's all very well focussing on the missed chances (of which there were only three anyway) but he fails to mention the lack of determination throughout the whole team for one thing.

Thing is, his tactics are based upon clean sheets.. yet not one mention of the @#$%& poor defending.

Plus we have scored at least one goal in each of our last five matches (sometimes more than one) but have only kept one clean sheet in last ten games so that philosophy clearing isn't working.
