After Tranmere sealed a vital opening day win by beating Chesterfield 1-0 at Prenton Park, we are inviting readers to vote for their Tranmere Man of the Match from the game.

After a goalless first half, Rovers threatened much more in the second half and eventually got their reward when Robbie Weir stabbed home from a difficult angle directly from a throw-in at the Kop end to hand Rovers the important three points on the opening day.

I went for Zoum but equally have gone for McGurk or Robinson really.

Lucas Akins coming on changed the whole game and he did more work that Teryaki did all the time he was on the field. He would my man of the match but runs a close second to Andy Robinson. But why were there all the boo's for Bakayogo?

its zooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom. but its a hard one as there was so many fantastic performances like mcgurk, devaney, robbo, welsh, goody, zoom but i will have to go for welshy. he did his job really well and never let anything past him. i have been really impressed with weir in pre-season and against chesterfield, last season i never really rated him but we have all seen what he can do going forward because of the new tactics and looks a really decent player

I personally thought that Welsh dived in to far too many tackles yesterday

Akins? You are joking. Where was he for the first seventy four minutes. We were ahead before he came on and Tiryaki worked hard and did well for his first game. The man of the match candidates have to be McChrystal,Zoom,McGurk or Welsh.

Intersting to see Wlesh get a few mentions, thought he had a solid game but was quite quiet.

For me it was close between Mcgurk and Mchrystal but Mchrystal takes it. Outstanding leadership from the back, taking control of things and givng others confidence.
