Tranmere Rovers travel to Leyton Orient on Saturday in N Power League One for the final away match of the season, so for all the latest news and match updates, and all the pre, during and post-match discussion, don't forget to check out our Match Discussion thread............
For
those fans who can't make some of the Rovers games this season,
particularly the high number of costly and time consuming southern away
games, we at Total Tranmere will be providing a Match Discussion Thread
on the Site for every Rovers game.
The
thread will allow you to discuss everything from the pre-match build up
and starting line-up to the game it as it progresses and the post-match
analysis.
Where
possible, Total Tranmere staff will post up the starting line-up and
substitutes on the thread as soon as it is made known at the game.
Tranmere
of course travel to Leyton Orient in N Power League One on Saturday afternoon
for the final away game of the season but if you're not going to the game why not join in the banter right
here while the game is going on?
Maybe
if you have a friend or family member texting you from the game you can
post their views here for others to see as the game progresses.
You
could also use this thread to discuss other interesting scores
throughout the league as well as discussing this game afterwards if you
have been along to the game.
What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.
Admin
staff will try and add the team and updates on the game on this thread
where possible but these details are updated also on our Twitter Page
throughout the game so if you're not following us already why not do so
at www.twitter.com/totaltranmere.
bmb is being a very bad cherry this week and instead of catching a coach at 6am from Dean Court to Hartlepool is leaving around 11am for the 2 hour drive to London instead to watch your game
I'll be easily recognisable as I will have an AFCB top on with Jamaica stuff over the top of it and the nipper will be in his Pepe Jamaica shirt so come and say hello if you see us
What concerns me is why Les chose to use the current tactical setup now. I mean Akins and McGurk have looked like solid contenders recently and all season Akins in particular took a lot of criticism, but in recent games has looked productive and more worthwhile.
If Les had played the way he is doing now, Tranmere could have had a better league finish and some players getting bad reps, might have been allowed to play in a way that could inprove that reputation.
Great result, nonetheless
Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.
Brilliant effort from the lads. Best ever win at Orient against a side pushing for a play-off spot. Sounded like a really professional performance too especially as we were missing Enoch. I'd be interested to know how Andy Robbo played (if his 'free' role still worked) from those that went.
@gony ah hope that your treated to a royal welcome from the SWA ! sure you will be ! excellent
Very warmly welcomed, made some new friends which was great, so thanks to all for the banter and micky taking!!
You were fab, a much better side that beat us recently. More football, less hoofball, I have to join in and ask why now? Had you played like that all season you'd have been the ones kicking us out of playoff spots - seriously! Much more like the Tranmere I remember from before we went and played in the basement for a couple of years. Is it a case of now the stress of the relegation threat is over, Les feels comfortable letting the players express themselves more on the pitch as opposed to just following orders? Play like that next season and you'll be real contenders top half.
bigmart bmb, the reason we havent played like that all season is due to the managers tactics, he has set up the team not to lose rather than to go out & win
Such a shame as you have a good squad with some decent players in there. Saturday you were more like the Tranmere of old and it was great to watch.
you have a fair point there bmb weve assembled a decent squad but tactics have held them back and caused quite a few fans to become disillusioned with some of the football thats been played

Same with us BigMart. Under Eddie Howe we played lots of pretty football (played some rubbish as well although never as bad as the Jimmy Quinn days *shudder*) but Eddie was able to combine pretty with points and learned to ditch pretty and play ugly for a win when needed. A lot of our fans have reacted against Bradders as we seem to have gone back to the bad old days of hoofball. I'm sure any of you guys who watched us prettily beat you in the cup were rather surprised by what a different team we were just weeks later when you demolished us in the league. Who plays hoofball against a team of 6 footers when you're all midgets for goodness sake!
The big difference between us there though is results. Eddie was in charge for the first 24 games of the season - W11, D6, L7 - total 39 points at a rate of 1.6 points/game average. He was in his 2nd full season as a manger, 3rd season in total. Bradders in his first 21 games as a manager has w8, D8 L5 - total 32 points at a rate of 1.5 points/game average. Hardly a poor record in comparison (Eddie only got 30 points in his first 21 games so Lee has made a better start) BUT the way a section of our fans go on - jeez!!! Because the football's not so good, they are blaming him for not getting auto promotion although myself I'm not sure the 0.3 extra points we'd have gained with Eddie in charge would have helped us out much!!
