After limping off in the 4-0 win over Exeter City on Monday afternoon, it has been revealed that Rovers striker Enoch Showumni has broken his leg and will therefore miss the final two games of the season......

Tranmere striker and leading goalscorer Enoch Showumni will miss the final two games of the season after suffering a broken leg in the 4-0 home win over Exeter City on Monday afternoon.

It has been revealed this morning that after limping off five minutes from the end of the game with what looked to be a fairly innocuous injury, Showumni has actually broken his left fibula and will therefore miss Saturday's visit to Leyton Orient and he home game on the final day of the season against Swindon Town.

If there is such a thing. the injury has come at the best possible time from a Rovers point of view having just secured League One safety and with the injury keeping Enoch out for six to eight weeks, he will be most likely be back for pre-season training in early July.

Speaking of the injury, Manager Les Parry said.....

"It is a bit of a blow as we were looking to finish the season on as much of a high as possible. However, the timing of it could have been a lot worse with the injury keeping him out for six to eight weeks, most of which will be during the close season and he will be able to join the rest of the squad for pre-season training.

"Enoch has been one of the successes of our season, having started 45 matches. So no doubt he will be looking forward to putting his feet up."

Total Tranmere would like to wish Enoch a speedy recovery after a great season for the Club and we look forward to him returning for next season.

Gutted for Enoch as he's been excellent for us this season, but this couldn't really have happened at a better time.

Shame for Enoch - for me he's been player of the year - often isolated yet never lets his head drop, and never stops running. A for effort Enoch! Get fit for next season as we really need you.

It's reckoned he'll be back for the pre-season. Only a 6-8 week layoff thankfully.

Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.

its only for 6 to 8 weeks so could be a lot worse and we are already safe and he will be back for the start of next season so its not so bad. plus it gives adam and maybe morrow the chance in the remaining 2 games to prove themselves and earn themselves a contract for next season

I'm going to vote for him on the club web-site for player of the season. The efforts always been there and he's chipped in with some vital goals too. Saw an interview with him saying he set himself a target 20 goals for the season.He's on 13, I think but sure he could have got a few more in the last 2 games to get close to that target. Hope it isn't too painful for him and that he gets better soon.

Well Enoch has gotten 8 assists, so he actually contributed to 21 goals, so in that respect he's above target .

Why?

If he was'nt that successful at Tranmer eand couldn't get game,s why trial at a higher level club? Surely it would make more sense to go to a team like Ross County or Queen Of The South, teams at the same level as Tranmere?

I can't see how playing for Kilmarnock, assuming he'll get in, will get him regular games. Though I suppose if you're going to sit on your bum for more money, glancing a hopeful eye on big money Rangers and Celtic players, in the off chance you will get even 60 seconds of hallowed turf time with them, then I could see the point.
