Tranmere Rovers travel to Swindon tonight in N Power League One, so for all the latest news and match updates, and all the pre, during and post-match discussion, don't forget to check out our Match Discussion thread............

HEADERNEW - matchdiscussion

For those fans who can't make some of the Rovers games this season, particularly the high number of costly and time consuming southern away games, we at Total Tranmere will be providing a Match Discussion Thread on the Site for every Rovers game.

The thread will allow you to discuss everything from the pre-match build up and starting line-up to the game it as it progresses and the post-match analysis.

Where possible, Total Tranmere staff will post up the starting line-up and substitutes on the thread as soon as it is made known at the game.

Stadium - Swindon Town

Tranmere of course travel to Swindon Town tonight in N Power League One so if you're not going to the game why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on.

Maybe if you have a friend or family member texting you from the game you can post their views here for others to see as the game progresses.

You could also use this thread to discuss other interesting scores throughout the league as well as discussing this game afterwards if you have been along to the game.

What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.

Admin staff will try and add the team and updates on the game on this thread where possible but these details are updated also on our Twitter Page throughout the game so if you're not following us already why not do so at www.twitter.com/totaltranmere.

I'm a swindon fan, and to be honest, if I were your manager, I would sit back and watch Swindon self destruct! Tonight you will learn that the CG is not a happy place at the moment with majority of fans calling for Danny Wilsons head if Tranmere win tonight. On our day, we can play anyone off the park, the trouble is, that day never comes and it seems all our decent players want to leave!

Looking at the League table this is a massive game for both teams. Swindon still haunts me after they took us apart on our 125th Birthday. If we play like we did at the weekend we will be ok. Lets hope Dale and the rest of the team are up for tonight as we dont travel well. Cold damp misserable Swindon night tucked up in the corner of the stand what more could you ask for......three points. Come on Les !!!!!!!!!!!

A decent point and back to back clean sheets is a very good effort with the amount of defenders we have out injured.

Both sides hit the post warner saving a penalty could do with beating rochdale next week & could do with getting a few of our injured players back soon.

I read the match report and 3 things spring to mind.

1. Warner. Arguably man of the match, not least for the penalty save.

2. Alliyu. Could he have come any closer to scoring off the inside of the post and not scored? How many more millimetres would he have needed to find, for the ball to slip in?

3. Enoch. Was it a legitimate penalty or just wishful thinking?

Conclusions. I think Swindon were a touch fortunate to not lose 1-0, but given Tranmeres track record there, I would say a good result and Tranmere displaying some of the Southampton Cahonies which was good.

Rochdale are beatable and I think it's going to be a very interesting fixture. I have a lot of respect and liking for the Dale, but Saturday has to be a Rovers day and if they can get that mystery Irishman in, maybe he might just play and make an instant impact.

Either way, let's stick by the team and hope for the best smiling smiley.

Just got back from the game, 0-0 a fair result, pretty even first half, second half we started well then after 10 minutes gave the game to Swindon, sat back for the point, disapointing realy as Swindon were there for the taking, we allowed them to grow in confidence and were lucky in the end to keep a clean sheet.
For me Warner was our MOM, for them Charlie Austin, by far the best player on the park.
Yet another bizarre decision to award a penalty that players didn't claim, Joss for some reason decided to keep hold of the ball in our area instead of hitting row Z, Austin (I think) came into challenge him and the ref said Joss was holding, 6 of one and half a dozen of the other IMO, great save from Tony, justice done.
We never realy looked threatening in attack, not sure the 3 up front is working, clever flicks fron Dale but to no one, Enoch......... am I being harsh in saying he is the most ineffective CF seen at PP.
Ash Taylor played in front of the back 4 and broke up many an attack, but he has the habit of hoofing the ball back to the opposition when he wins possesion, Les's orders?
The back 4 looked good though, on a couple of occasions in the second half Kay was left exposed and they came through on the left wing.
Les left it very late to bring on the subs, must have been happy with 0-0, McGurk did well when he came on and almost won it for us, ITM was given 5 minutes at the end, probably cos the fans (all 124) were shouting for him.
Interesting at the end, ITM came over to the fans, gave his shirt away, and had the look of a player who may be elsewhere by Saturday, I may be putting 2+2 together and making 5.
Overall we looked OK to survive this season, better team than last season, I think there will be plenty of back to the wall performances like this one before the season is out, we need a stong CF to play off Dale, can't see Dale going anywhere any time soon, he needs to learn his trade and beef up a bit.

Great report Kiws totally agree with all points raised. Behind the scenes ITM looked like he had played his last game as that seemed to me to be a parting gesture. Great save BY Warner deffo MOTM.

Overall I was disappointed. Following the game v Southhampton I would have expected to do better than a draw - yes we should have won but were sitting back for a draw. Swindon had little to offer and we could have nicked a goal. I like the formation that Les has used tonight but we must and here come the coaching points
1.Learn to get control of the ball and play it on the floor. It appeared to me that the best ball from the back was aways a hoof
2.Don't allow Joss (what is he doing!) to play with the ball in the penalty area - it very nearly cost us dearly
3. Tony needs to catch the ball cleanly in the air but to be fair he made a tremendous save from the penalty (I am warming to his contribution to the team)
John did a fantastic job in midfield again ssssssssssoooooooooooooo underrated.
Hey ho bring the next game

I was pleased with the point last night, and 4 out of 6 against Southampton and Swindon is a good return. Now the acid test is Rochdale at home. A winnable game and the type in the past we haevn't won.

We find it hard to get 2 home wins in a row. So often in recent years our form has dipped badly in recent years. With 3 of the bottom 4 to play at home + Notts we have some real 6 pointers.Beat Rochdale and the above and we would be safe. But as observed,so often these games lead to dropped points

Labadie has the record for the most fouls this season.

As for saying Enoch is the most inneffective CF that's is a bit harsh.

He has gotten 7 goals and 5 assists in all competitions. Moores contribution this season was 9 goials and 1 assist. He did well Enochs done well.

Enoch helpd secured a point at charlton, 3 against County, 2 against Dagenham and his throw in and captains performance helped secure the Peterborough result.

For me the guy is a superb procurement, along with Tony Warner because their combination of skill and experience is difficult to get, with a budget like Les has and Enoch for me, does make a difference.

Though when he will score with his head, nobody knows.
