Tranmere lose another game to the weather

Article Header - Breaking News

Tranmere Rovers have lost their sixth game of the season to the cold weather, and their fourth league game in the space of a month, after Tuesday's game against Brentford was postponed due to a frozen pitch.

An early inspection on Monday by a local official found that areas of the Griffin Park playing surface were simply too hard and unfit to play on, a stark contrast to last season, when the game between the two sides was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

This is the second game in two days that Tranmere have lost, following the postponement of the Boxing Day fixture against Sheffield Wednesday, and leaves Rovers' festive calendar nearly completely wiped out, with only games against Rochdale and Carlisle over New Year to come.

The postponement also follows games against Exeter, Swindon and Huddersfield (x2) to have been postponed due to the weather since the end of November.

A new date for the game is yet to be announced by the two clubs.

Maybe the Brentford game might have been on, if all the staff and players had had a pee on it, so the hot pee could melt the frozen bits (Sm7)

Let's face it, if it was anything like one of the Championship games, the toilets would be frozen.

I thought his first (Sm22)name was Gunner but not really knocking him but I do prefer Peter Gulacsi between the sticks and hope we can resign him till the end of the season.

I'd be happy to see the Manu U lad Amos here, if Gulacsi didn't return. Amos is looking to go on loan supposedly, so maybe Wotton could tip him a nod and a wink or some such thing (Sm7).
