Tranmere's youth team coach Kenny Shiels leaves the club

Tranmere Rovers' revolving door has continued at full speed today as yet another member of the clubs backroom staff left the club.
Youth team coach Kenny Shiels has followed Wayne Allison out the door today to become the assistant manager at Scottish Premier League side Kilmarknock.
Shiels, former Northern Ireland U-17 manager, joined Tranmere in 2007 as a replacement for Warren Joyce as the head of Tranmere's Centre of Excellence, and has helped oversee players Terry Gornell, Ashton Taylor and Ryan Fraughan make their breakthrough into the clubs first team.
Despite expressing his disappointing in leaving Tranmere, and stressing his love for the club, Shiels told www.tranmererovers.co.uk that this was an opportunity too good to turn down and as such he chose to leave the club.
Tranmere manager Les Parry, who signed a new one-year contract with the club last week, and recently appointed Steve Walker as the new club physio, has indicated that he will hold talks with Peter Johnson soon to discuss the clubs backroom staff.

I agree with Deadly about your post SWA if it was the truth!
However, when you take your rose tinted glasses off, the reality is- that the board have got no interest in achieving anything but survival as a football club and to asset strip the clubs assets to pay off the debt.
If PJ and the board wanted success, they would have found a buyer or invested in the club, to make sure that the club progressed, rather than regressed!
The clubs infrastructure is embaressing, the youth club next door has better winter training facilities and also spent more money on their two pitches than the club have on the pitch at PP!
PJ took a big risk with JB, If he read the reports on him, he would have found out that he was not the right man! It was all about getting RS armchair supporters to come to PP! It didn't work. PJ didn't know that it wasn't working, two supporters met him and persuaded him!
Finally, we are not living within our means. we have lost an average of around £1million per season since PJ returned from The bluenoses.
Thats great business planning!
The sooner this board is gone from the club (I do keep repeating myself) the better the future will be!
